From March 2001 to January 2002, the laslocomm technical journal more or less existed long enough to publish five issues. Perhaps it was something of a midlife crisis; the dot-com era was over, web 2.0 hadn't really happened yet, and I was somewhere between out of work and very unemployed. When 9/11 happened, the world changed-- exploring (be it phones, computers, or buildings) suddenly was equated to something far more sinister than just being curious. Many of the links, services and numbers listed in these issues have disappeared. Companies merge and go out of business, Numbers and domain names change. Life moves on.
